For over 30 years, Fat Cat, (the name standing for Francis Aloysius Thomas Cat.) has always been much-loved children’s character and mascot to Channel 7 Perth and Telethon.

He has been the saviour of many mums and dads for several generations, sending the official nightly message for kids to go to bed at 7.30pm on Channel 7 Perth.  (some naughty mums and dads have even been known to record the segment and roll it out on the home tv a couple of hours earlier every now and then!)

Fat Cat appeals to every generation, with Perth people having grown up with him since 1968.

These days Fat Cat is the official mascot of Channel 7's Telethon.    Fat Cat is alos seen out and about with his freinds doing special shows for 2 - 7 year olds called "Fat Cat & Friends", just like the one that was featured on tv all those years ago.
