Patron - His Excellency Dr. Ken Michael AC
It has always been tradition for the Governor of W.A. to be the patron of Telethon. Dr. Ken Michaels is the 30th Governor of Western Australia. Western Australian Citizen of the Year for 2001. Awarded the Centenary of Federation Medal in 2003 for service to the public, engineering and the Greek community. Also awarded the John Shaw Medal in recognition of his outstanding contribution to national road transport in June 2007.

Vice Patron - Janet Holmes à Court AC
Owner of one of Australia's largest private companies, Heytesbury Pty Ltd. One of the nation's most influential women in both the business and arts worlds. The National Trust of Australia considers Janet to be one of Australia’s 100 Living Treasures. She was made an Officer in the Order of Australia (AO), in 1995 and promoted to a Companion of the Order (AC) on Australia Day 2007.
